Training Description
Digital Multimeters are test tools/instruments used to measure electrical values principally voltage, current, and resistance. They are usually used as diagnostic tools for technicians in the electrical/electronic industries. To be able to ensure their accurate measurements, it is important to monitor their performance through calibration. In this way, measurement values are correct and within their specifications.
This course will provide the participant with basic knowledge about digital multimeter calibration. Providing correct measurements will enhance safety and health and consumer protection as well as good quality products and enhance fair trade and commerce.
Objectives
1. To be able to know the importance of the basic concepts of metrology and measurements.
2. To be able to know basic concepts about digital multimeter calibration.
3. To gain skill in the use and calibration of digital multimeters.
Methodologies
• The course will be conducted in the form of lectures, demonstrations and laboratory hands-on exercises.
• A written examination (pre-test and post-test) and hands-on exercises will be given to evaluate the knowledge gained by the participants.
• A Proof of Attendance will be issued to all participants with complete attendance upon completion of the course.
• A Certificate of Training will be awarded to participants with complete attendance and passed the written examination (70% passing rate).
