Training Description
This course aims to provide participants with knowledge and basic calibration skills in the area of temperature (calibration of liquid-in-glass, thermometer (LIGT), and digital thermometer (DT) in compliance with international standards (ISO/IEC 17025:2017)
Objectives
1 Learn the importance of the basic concepts about metrology
2 Understand the working principles and construction of Liquid-In-Glass thermometers.
3 Perform accurate calibration of liquid-in-glass and digital thermometers using reference standards.
4 Interpret calibration results and calculate measurement uncertainty standards.
5 Apply best practices for maintaining and handling thermometers.
Methodologies
• The course will be conducted in the form of lectures, demonstrations and laboratory hands-on exercises.
• Pre-test will be given upon registration of the training participants to determine their knowledge base.
• A written examination/post-test and hands-on exercises will be given to evaluate the knowledge gained by the participants.
• A Proof of Attendance will be issued to all participants with complete attendance upon completion of the course.
• A Certificate of Training will be awarded to participants with complete attendance and passed the written examination (70% passing rate).
