Training Description
Force measurement is needed in many industries, and though the precision required varies, the general approach to good practice are common if the user aims to achieve a reliable measurement in their testing needs. The said training will guide and assist the participants in understanding the concepts of force metrology, enhance their capability in calibrating, operating, and maintaining measurement systems for force proving instruments based on ISO 376.
Objectives
At the end of the course, the participants will be able to:
Learn the fundamental concepts of force measurement;
- Learn the best practices, techniques and standard procedures in force measurement (including testing and calibration);
- Understand the metrological requirements Calibrate force measurement equipment accurately;
- Compute for the uncertainty of measurement
Methodologies
The course will be conducted in the form of lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on exercises:
- A written examination will be given to evaluate the knowledge gained by the participants.
- A proof of attendance will be issued to all participants with complete attendance upon completion of the course.
- A Certificate of Training will be awarded to participants with complete attendance and passed the written examination with at least 70% rating
Training Topics
The topics covered include:
- Concepts of Force Measurement
- Introduction to Methods of Force Measurement
- Applications and examples of Force Measurement
